Getting Started with Veeto

Welcome to Veeto! We are excited to have you onboard as an advocate. This documentation will help you smoothly navigate onboarding, set up your profile, and get ready to start accepting payments.

Setting Up Your Veeto Account

To get started with Veeto, you'll need to create and set up an account:

1. Creating Your Account:

Visit veeto.app and click "Sign Up." Select a unique and professional username. Since your username will be publicly displayed alongside your advocacy campaigns, choose something you feel confident sharing publicly.

2. Building a Professional Profile:

Your Veeto profile will be one of the first things potential campaign contributors see. This profile showcases your credibility, experience, and passion for advocacy. Here is a suggested list of details to include (this is just a guideline; feel free to personalize it further):

• Your full name
• An appropriate profile picture (headshot)
• Relevant work experiences, volunteer roles, or other life experiences relevant to your advocacy areas
• Education history (degreees, certifications, training, research, etc.)
• Policy interests or areas of expertise
• Past advocacy experiences (campaigns you've worked on, community organizing, lobbying, etc.)

Your completed profile will be publicly visible to potential supporters. It's important that you present yourself clearly, authentically, and professionally while highlighting your policy interests and expertise.

Set Up Payment Processing

Veeto uses Stripe as its secure payment processing partner. Before you can create an advocacy campaign, you'll need to set up a verified Stripe account.

1. Locate the Stripe setup link provided to you in your Veeto onboarding materials. If you can't find this link, let us know and we can resend it.
2. Follow Stripe's setup steps. Note that you have been provided a link to set up an account for an individual, however, Stripe will still ask for you to complete a business section.
   • Website: We recommend you use your Veeto profile URL. For example: www.veeto.app/profile/[your-username]
   • Business Name: Stripe recommends you use your name.
   • Industry: We recommend selecting "Other Personal Services" which is under the "Personal Services" dropdown.
3. After completing the Stripe setup steps, please let us know and we will verify that we see your account.
